Wild Grasses Brooch

This Wild Grasses brooch in sterling silver features a variety of plain and hand-enamelled silver strands, enhanced with a 4mm moonstone and 2mm cubic zirconia, hand-set in Sheila Fleet's workshop in Orkney. The brooch is hand-enamelled in 'Meadow' enamel.

The wild and windswept coastlines of Orkney and Caithness, in the north of Scotland, are covered with marram grass that sweeps from side to side in the sea breeze. This hardy grass inspired Sheila to create her 'Wild Grasses' collection. Delicate free-flowing designs, layered with silver or gold, enamel and gemstones.
